Welcome to Mountain Mamma's

How happy we all are when we feel safe and secure in our surroundings. Our pets are part of our family and feel the same way!

This is why Mountain Mamma's Bed tiny paw Biscuit came to be.

Jackie (owner and proprietor) has always cared about the emotional and physical well being of animals. She looks forward to putting your mind at ease while your 4 legged "family" enjoys their visit with us in your absence.

July 2015

There is a new strain of canine influenza, H3N2. There is no vaccine for protection of this serious dog flu. H3N2 “signs” do not show for up for 5 days or so. It sheds for 7-8 days, post exposure.

At Mountain Mamma’s, we are taking every precaution to screen possible carriers. The goal of this message is to give knowledge. We are hoping you, as pet owners, take precautions as well.

This virus spreads easily to other dogs through a cough in the air, barking, sneezing, and by contact with contaminated objects such as bowls, toys and clothing.

Take precautions about where you take your dog and yourself.
H3N2 was mostly in the western U.S., but cases are now found in Asheville and the triad of North Carolina.
